چکیده

The photocatalytic Fenton process, which produces a strong oxidant in the form of hydroxyl radicals, is useful method to degrade organic contaminants water. reaction uses hydrogen peroxide and Fe2+ ions under relatively acidic conditions (typically pH 2–3) maintain solubility iron catalyst but troublesome due large volumes decontaminated yet highly water generated. Starch-stabilized (Fe2+/Fe3+) oxide nanoparticles were synthesized serve as colloidal system hydrophilic starch effectively prevents precipitation closer neutrality. To evaluate usefulness this for photo-Fenton degradation methylene blue model dye, preparation protocol used loading varied. was investigated at values up 4. Not only starch-stabilized catalysts able decolorize dye also mineralize it part, that is, carbon dioxide could be reused several cycles. This demonstrates an efficient stabilizer aqueous media, enabling their use environmentally friendly cost-effective catalysts. These may other dyes pollutants water, such pesticides.

Laser-Induced Silver Nanoparticles on Titanium Oxide for Photocatalytic Degradation of Methylene Blue

Silver nanoparticles doped on titanium oxide (TiO(2)) were produced by laser-liquid interaction of silver nitrate (AgNO(3)) in isopropanol. Characteristics of Ag/TiO(2) (Ag doped TiO(2)) nanoparticles produced by the methods presented in this article were investigated by XRD, TEM, SEM, EDX, and UV-Vis. From the UV-Vis measurements, the absorption of visible light of the Ag/TiO(2) photocatalysts...

Photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue dye over immobilized ZnO nanoparticles: Optimization of calcination conditions

In the present study, calcination conditions during the synthesis of zinc oxide nanoparticles were optimized using response surface methodology (RSM) based on central composite design (CCD). After that, the effect of the type of UV irradiation on the photocatalysis of methylene blue (MB) dye was studied based on the kinetic model obtained at optimum conditions. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) exhi...

Efficient Immobilised TiO2 in Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) Membrane for Photocatalytic Degradation of Methylene Blue

Immobilised titanium dioxide (TiO2) in membrane structures has recently become attractive. This is due to the elimination of the separation step after the process of photocatalytic degradation. The efficiency of the TiO2 surface area exposed to UV light as the main important parameter needs to be considered. The immobilisation of TiO2 nanoparticles in the polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) membrane...
